Expansion Includes a New Modular and Scalable High-Speed Platform, a Streamlined IPS for New Markets, and Enhancements to its Next-Generation IPS Software

Dubai, UAE – April 19, 2011 — Sourcefire, Inc. (Nasdaq: FIRE), the creator of Snort® and a leader in intelligent cybersecurity solutions, today announced that it has expanded its IPS solutions portfolio on three fronts with:
•	Sourcefire IPSx – A streamlined, easy-to-manage IPS
•	Sourcefire 4.10 software release – Enhanced awareness and 3rd party interoperability for the Next-Generation Intrusion Prevention System (NGIPS)
•	Sourcefire 8000 Series Appliances – A modular and scalable high-speed platform powered by new FirePOWER™ technology for enterprise customers

“Intrusion Prevention Systems play an integral role in protecting businesses against today’s most sophisticated threats, and Sourcefire is continuing to address customers’ critical scalability, performance and protection requirements with the expansion of its IPS portfolio,” said Charles Kolodgy, research VP at IDC. “By offering simplicity, sophistication and performance, Sourcefire is providing customers with flexible capabilities appropriate for the unique threats facing individual networks.”

With today’s announcement, businesses with varying security requirements and network complexity can choose from a range of Sourcefire solutions to enhance their protection, including:
Sourcefire IPSx – A Streamlined IPS Solution for New Markets and Customers
For companies with specific security or compliance requirements, but who may not have a dedicated security team, Sourcefire IPSx offers an intuitive GUI that simplifies IPS implementation and management. This new solution is ideal for channel distribution and addresses needs in many emerging international markets.

Sourcefire IPS 4.10 – Enhanced Awareness and 3rd-Party Interoperability
Sourcefire has enhanced key capabilities of its existing IPS and NGIPS solutions. The latest version adds increased application awareness, improved GUI performance and added detection for key applications including Facebook, Windows Media Player, Google Toolbar, as well as Apple, Android and Blackberry mobile devices.

New 8000 Series Appliances with FirePOWER – Modularity, Scalability and Performance
The Sourcefire 8000 Series appliances set a new standard for IPS hardware, addressing enterprise requirements for flexible configurations, lower entry prices, and faster processing of network data. At the heart of the new 8000 Series appliances lies the breakthrough FirePOWER acceleration technology, providing market leading performance with lower power consumption, and a universal security architecture that will be able to support a range of Sourcefire security solutions. The new hardware provides users with up to 40Gbps of throughput and over 20Gbps of real-world IPS protection. In addition, based on the 8000 Series scalable design, the new hardware will be stackable to deliver 80Gbps of throughput and more than 50Gbps of protection. With this unmatched performance, the world’s most accurate IPS is now also the world’s fastest.

The new 8000 Series appliances also offer interface modularity, allowing customers the flexibility to choose and expand the number and type of ports to suit their needs today and in the future. As part of the 8000 Series set of network modules, Sourcefire is introducing the industry’s first 40Gbps security interface, which is expected to be available later in 2011.
“As an update to our 2010 IPS Group Test, NSS tested the Sourcefire 8260 IPS appliance and it achieved in excess of 27 gigabits of real-world performance,” said Vik Phatak, Chief Technology Officer, NSS Labs, Inc. “Based on these results, the 8260 is the fastest IPS we have tested to date and has the lowest per megabit cost we have calculated.”
“As threats continue to become more targeted and sophisticated, companies of all sizes are increasingly at risk,” said Marc Solomon, Vice President of Product Management at Sourcefire. “With today’s additions to Sourcefire’s IPS portfolio and enhancements to the core technology, we are enabling customers to implement the exact solution to fit their configuration, price and performance requirements.”

The Sourcefire IPS 4.10 is available immediately. Sourcefire IPSx, and the 8000 Series appliances will all be available in early May.

DHAHRAN, Saudi Arabia, Feb. 1, 2011 – UOP LLC, a Honeywell (NYSE: HON) company, announced today that it will collaborate with the King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, for the development of catalytic processes for petrochemicals production.

Honeywell’s UOP and the KFUPM have signed a five-year agreement that will allow university professors and researchers to collaborate with company scientists on catalyst development and processes for aromatics production. Aromatics are a critical raw material used in the production of petrochemicals such as plastics and detergents.

“We look forward to this collaboration, which will enhance the university’s research and development capabilities, and will also support Saudi Arabia’s growing aromatics industry,” said Ben Christolini, vice president and chief technology officer of research and development for Honeywell’s UOP. “This agreement represents UOP’s ongoing commitment to our partnerships within the
Kingdom’s refining and petrochemical industry.”

In 2009, Honeywell opened a technical center on the KFUPM campus as part of a broader initiative to build an integrated facility for three of its businesses at the university’s Dhahran Techno Valley (DTV) business cluster. In 2011, Honeywell Building Solutions, Honeywell Process Solutions and UOP will open a joint office to enhance existing relationships and partnerships with organizations
such as the KFUPM, Saudi Aramco and SABIC, while keeping close geographical proximity to its many important customers in the energy industry.
The DTV business cluster was established by the KFUPM to attract the research and
development centers of local and international companies and to promote new businesses. It is
envisaged as a leading research and technology development nucleus with comprehensive business
support.
UOP LLC, headquartered in Des Plaines, Illinois, USA, is a leading international supplier and
licensor of process technology, catalysts, adsorbents, process plants, and consulting services to the

Dubai, 20-Aug-2009: ‘Arwa’a Abaya’, the competition launched by specialized black abaya washing product Persil Abaya Shampoo, has concluded after 8 weeks, during which contestants showcased their talents in designing abayas on MBC1 during the morning show ‘Sabah Al Khair Ya Arab’. Iraqi contestant Shouq Taher walked away with the first prize of RS 50,000 for her design, which impressed the judges who made their decision based on creativity of the design and quality of execution.

Commenting on her win, Shouq said:

“I’m very pleased about winning this competition, which allowed me to bring my creative ideas to life and showcase my talent in fashion design, especially in designing abayas that distinguish Khaleeji women. My abaya was inspired by spring, designed as a butterfly full of the happy and vivid colors of this season.’

‘In the past, the Khaleeji abaya consisted of one piece that is worn from the head down to cover all the body, despite differences in some details that reflected the individuality of each country. This dress changed over the years and consisted of two separate pieces for the head and the body,’ said Mohammed Al Samhan, one of the competition judges and owner of Al Yashmac Fashion. ‘Even as designs of abayas became more creative and fashionable, this traditional dress maintained its black color across the region. The move by Persil Abaya Shampoo to launch this competition has proved the great talent that Arabian woman enjoys, as she translates her creativity into beautiful designs that contribute to highlight this dress as part of our proud heritage.’

UAE designer Amal Murad, jury member and owner of ‘Redaa’, said:

‘Abayas in the GCC have become more than just a traditional black dress, and now reflect a wide variety of models and designs that serve the needs of khaleeji women – students workers or housewives. These abayas are elegant, and at the same time preserve the decency and originality of this traditional dress.

‘Arwa’a Abaya’ was a great way to discover creative designing talents that will help launch new designs to further introduce the world to this special line of fashion, which now runs its own fashion shows,’ she added.

The competition, the first of its kind in the region, has captured huge attention in terms of participation and audience, who watched its updates on leading Arabic channel MBC1.
