7/8/2010 Amman – Sermon, the leading Jordanian business solutions provider, signed a bilateral agreement with its partners in Libya to implement Enterprise Resource Planning ERP Solution for Al-Ahlyya Cement Company, one of the leading public companies in Libya.
Sermon’s partner, the Investment Company for Technical Services (ICTS) stated that the Microsoft Dynamics AX based system aims to develop and enhance Al-Ahlyya Cement Company productivity of on both the Libyan and the Arab markets.
Exploring the impact of the agreement, the general manager of Al-Ahlyya, Hasan Khalifah Shalba said: “The new solution will help the company improve its performance, reducing operating expenses by at least 5 per cent.”
Khalifah highlighted the ERP Solution’s ability to assist the Al-Ahlyya in achieving the latest quality and planning standards while boosting its competency on a regional scale.
According to the agreement, the partners will employ their expertise to connect AL-Ahlyya’s technical, production, and administrative departments, creating a comprehensive network that provides the highest security standards.
For his part, Eng. Muftah AlJourny, ICTS General Manager expressed his pleasure regarding the agreement: “We are very proud to work side by side with a company like Sermon which has a great experience and renowned reputation in the business solutions sector.”
It is worth mentioning that ERP solution, based on Microsoft Dynamics AX, consists of several financial, administrative, and production suits that operate on a uniform data base. Via its interface, it allows administrators to set privileges for users according to their administrative and technical responsibilities, while connecting the organization’s offices and departments with local and internet-based networks.
